On Sunday, Feb. 18, Porter-Gaud School was invited to perform at the local Chinese New Year Celebration at Burke High School. This event, being sponsored by the Greater Charleston Chinese Association, was attended by over 700 people from the local Chinese community.
Morgan Matthews, Savannah Winther, Gavin Milligan, and Paul Bickerstaff, who currently take Chinese, performed a form of traditional Chinese folk art, known as Three and a Half Lines. This humorous performance requires flourished Chinese language ability. The audience was very impressed by their fluency and their confidence as well. Congratulations to all the performers for a wonderful show!
